Continuous Hinges
Conditions for Piercing and Countersinking
Condition 1
This condition applies where an engineering drawing is supplied. We will ensure that holes are pierced exactly in accordance with the drawing, usually by making a piercing tool specially for that particular hinge.
Condition 2
This condition applies where no engineering drawing has been supplied, and where tools have not been made specially for the hinge. Under this condition we will pierce holes from our stock, standard tools.
This will result in:
- holes not lining up with pre-drilled holes in other components
- holes that may not be consistent from batch to batch
- holes that may not be consistent from hinge to hinge
If you are in any doubt about piercing or countersinking, please contact us
